The annual banquet of the Manitowoc County Lakes Association took place on Friday, October the 13th, hosted by Dan Dufek and the Larrabee Sportsman’s Club, who provided a delicious broasted chicken dinner and great company. - Features: Boat launch with a 50 foot port-a-pier. Small shelter, picnic areas with grills and a toilet building. There are parking spaces to accommodate 15 car/trailer units. No lighting.
- Boat Ramp: Concrete ramp, 7% slope, >3 ft launch depth. Boat cleaning and decontamination station available.
- Launch fee: Daily fee is $5.00 and the annual is $20.00.
- ADA Accessibility Features: Yes. The boarding dock, and route of travel to it, is ADA accessible.

Aquatic Invasive Species Threats
- Verified: Banded Mystery Snail (2012), Curly-Leaf Pondweed (2007), Eurasian Water-Milfoil (2009), Hybrid Eurasian / Northern Water-Milfoil (2011).

- Fish present: Largemouth bass and bluegill common. Northern pike and walleye present. Perch and other panfish present.

DNR Conclusions from 2014 Survey:
This survey and the two previous surveys have documented a shift in the primary predator from Walleye to Largemouth Bass. Panfish, which were overabundant and slow growing, are now much lower in number and exhibiting good growth.

May experience notable algae blooms. - Trophic State Index (TSI): 50/Mesotrophic. What does this mean?
Mesotrophic lakes contain contain healthy, diverse populations of aquatic plants, algae, and fish. They are characterized by moderately clear water, but have an increasing chance of low dissolved oxygen in deep water during the summer.

Well the Cedars in Kiel is now “Flip Flops.” It is a bar and restaurant (burgers, pizza) with a great beach. You might enjoy that!
Do you know anything about the English Lake Inn??
Hi Eva,
The English Lake Inn was a fine dining establishment that had a beautiful view of the lake approximately 20 or more years ago. It was owned by Joe Matthias. It was later sold as a residence on the lake. Like many resorts and restaurants on lakes they were not economical, maybe due to Lake property taxes.
