Pigeon Lake Jan 2017 Update

January 9, 2017–Lake treatment funding secured and Walleye stocking news

The Pigeon Lake Association has secured funding for the 2017 full lake treatment through the Town of Liberty. We are also applying for several grants as well to offset the many other expenses from the Eurasian Milfoil problem.

With the enormous support from the Walleyes for Tomorrow along with other funding from the Fish and Game and the Fisheries committee of the Pigeon Lake Association, we have picked up the walleye stocking program previously handled by the now disbanded Pigeon Lake Sportsman’s Club. 2000 fingerling walleye were planted this past fall. Our target is for an every-other-year walleye planting program.
